We’ve all heard about vitamins A, B & C but have you heard about vitamin K?
It’s a fat-soluble vitamin that is needed by our bodies to manufacture osteocalcin. Osteocalcin as the name implies is bone(osteo) calcium(calcin). It’s this non-collagenous protein that our bodies use in the hardening of our bones. Where do we find this important vitamin? Green leafy vegetables. So, it’s back to the balanced diet theme ? It can also be found in whole grains. My preference is multigrain bread with bits in, so I get some there and I do love fresh runner beans.
