Lockdown Birthday Bake Along 2021

It’s a year on from my Lockdown Birthday Bakealong and I realised I never published this post about why I decided to do the bake along and what the recipes were that I used.

For the last couple of years, I have had a word of the year – this year it is Finish. So, in that spirt here it is.

It’s lockdown 3.0 and there aren’t many things to do for a birthday. Lots of people loved my coffee and walnut cake that I baked for the Cake Sale December 2019 so I thought I would share with you how to make it. Rather than just me bake and you watch I thought let’s do a lockdown birthday bakealong, what can go wrong!!!!
Trying to reframe my thoughts so make them more positive so rather than what can go wrong – let’s say What can go Right!! We all end up with yummy cake- Woohoo…

The feedback from the bake along was that everyone had a fabulous time! It was the first time Carla had baked a cake and she loved it so much the coffee & walnut cake has become her go to recipe for people’s birthday.
